Widely considered to be one of the most influential overdrive pedals, the original 250 helped shape the sound of rock and metal in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. The Overdrive Preamp 250 – 50th Anniversary Edition pedal is hand-built in the USA using the authentic design of the original pedal, while adding two extra modes for modern sonic versatility.
The Overdrive Preamp 250 – 50th Anniversary Edition is actually three overdrive pedals in one. Set it to Silicon mode for a faithful reproduction of the original 250’s bite and grind, courtesy of an authentic LM741 op-amp. Select Ge/ASYM mode to engage a Germanium diode for asymmetrical even-order clipping that provides a distinct tonal character with incredible touch response. Or switch to Lift mode to remove diode clipping completely from the signal path, for use as a clean boost and preamp.
Complete with a commemorative 50th Anniversary badge, custom artwork and color-matched LED, and a 50th Anniversary pedal topper, the Overdrive Preamp 250 – 50th Anniversary Edition pedal is ideal for players and collectors alike.
