Gibson Pickup Shop 1968 T-Top Reissue Pickups - Double Black
Délais estimé avant expédition à confirmer une fois la commande placée.
From 1966-1979, Gibson humbucker coil forms were manufactured with a "T" on the top of the pickup, earning them the nickname "T-Top." This "T" marking assisted the pickup assemblers with confirming the correct orientation of the bobbins during production. Gibson T-Tops are known for their brighter, tighter, and more aggressive tone compared to the original late 50s PAFs. Artists such as Jimmy Page, Chuck Berry, BB King, Pete Townshend, Angus Young, Peter Frampton, Nancy Wilson, Randy Rhoads, Mick Ronson, Tommi Iommi and many more are known to have used original Gibson T-Tops, helping to cement the T-Top as an iconic Gibson pickup.
Utilizing the same vintage winding machines as used on original T-Top pickups, the new Gibson Pickup Shop 1968 T-Top Reissue humbucker is faithful to those produced from 1966 to 1979. With Alnico 5 magnets and period correct winding specifications, the Pickup Shop has not only recreated the look of the original T-Tops with the "T" markings, but also the coveted tone. As vintage Gibson T-Tops have become more collectible, the T-Top Reissue fills a gap in Gibson's Historic lineup and gives players the opportunity to have a genuine Gibson T-Top without the vintage price.
