Le Custom 24 "Floyd" est équipé du système de trémolo Floyd Rose "Original" éprouvé et des micros \ m / (métal) de PRS. Le système de réglage du trémolo et de l'écrou de verrouillage Floyd Rose « Original » est une conception à double verrouillage fabriquée avec précision à partir d'acier de haute qualité. Cette combinaison de conception permet aux joueurs de verrouiller la corde au niveau du sillet et du chevalet pour garder la guitare accordée même pendant les sessions de bombardement en piqué les plus lourdes.

La Custom 24 est la guitare PRS par excellence. Cet instrument emblématique a été le premier modèle que Paul Reed Smith a présenté au public lors du premier salon Winter NAMM de PRS Guitars en 1985 et est depuis lors un best-seller.
