“Teaming up with Defender to offer the Silver Sky guitar in their legendary Defender colors is a dream come true. I’ve always chosen colorways based on objects and materials that inspire me in the world, and as a collector and lover of Defenders, this collaboration is the perfect crossover between two great passions of mine.”
– John Mayer

The SE Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition retains the feel, response, and playability that define the Silver Sky model, while introducing a bold new visual character.

The Silver Sky has never been shy about color. For the Defender Color Collection, Mayer and PRS looked beyond the guitar world to the contemporary Defender palette, drawing from decades of history and more than 900 colors to select four finishes that give the SE Silver Sky a fresh, modern character: Petra Copper, Sedona Red, Carpathian Grey, and Woolstone Green. Each is paired with a black pickguard – a first for the Silver Sky model – creating a striking new take on a guitar built to be played. A custom neck plate unique to the run and custom gig bag complete the package.

United by their ability to occupy the space between a tool and object of inspiration, the SE Silver Sky and the Defender feel both classic and contemporary while staying true to their purpose and utility. At its core, the SE Silver Sky Defender remains a player’s guitar with the sound, feel, and response that musicians expect, backed by the build quality and playability to handle night after night on stage. The Defender Color Collection highlights that spirit: functional, distinctive, and made to inspire.

Inspiration can come from anywhere. For this limited-edition SE Silver Sky, the inspiration comes from beyond the guitar world. It comes from the Defender of today.
