Hot Hand 3 expands on the groundbreaking technology of the original Hot Hand, broadening its control compatibilities to include third-party effects. The system includes a wireless sensor ring, a ring charger/DC power supply, a receiver base station, and a sensor cable. With the ring on your thumb or finger, the motion of your hand is translated by a 3-axis accelerometer into a precise, dynamic expression signal that can be applied to a range of effect parameters, including filter sweeps, modulation, drive levels, and wet/dry mixes.
Controls Source Audio and most third-party effects
The lightweight wireless ring is capable of transmitting over 100 feet and fits comfortably on your hand, instrument headstock, or even your foot. The ring is powered by a rechargeable/replaceable lithium-ion battery, with an average operation time of six hours between charges. Hot Hand 3 connects to all Soundblox, Soundblox 2, Soundblox Pro, and Hot Hand pedals via the 3.5mm Sensor output. The receiver base station also features a standard ¼" Expression output compatible with most third-party pedals equipped with a ¼" expression input, such as the BOSS PS-5 Pitch Shifter, Eventide Space Reverb, Line 6 DL4, and many more.
