Tama Speed Cobra 910 Single Pedal
Model No. HP910LN
Model Name Speed Cobra 910 Single Pedal
Features
- The pedals come standard with a specially designed hard carrying case.
- The construction of the Bearing Hinge on the footplate has changed from a one-piece assembly to two pieces, holding the bearing more evenly, minimizing stress, maximizing smoothness, and adding to the pedal's sense of power.
- The frame has been widened to prevent swaying during aggressive performance, expanding the pedal's overall structure. The supports holding the revolving shaft are 15mm wider, and the under-plate is about 12mm wider than the previous Cobra.
- The Swivel Spring Tight assembly optimizes smoothness by allowing a straight spring pull throughout the pedal's cycle, recapturing lost energy and reducing turbulence caused by a spring being pulled at an angle.
- The traditional nylon rocker cam has been replaced by the Speedo-Ring, reducing friction and providing a compact pedal that can fit in the hard case without removing the beater.
- The Para-Clamp II features a three-dimensional rubber grip for increased holding power without scratching the hoop, facilitating easy set-up and breakdown, with a T-bolt positioned on the side of the footboard for convenient access.
- Oiles® bearings offer less friction than standard ball bearings, eliminate side-to-side motion, and provide superior durability, as used in the aerospace industry.
- Vari-Pitch beater angle adjustments are independent of the footboard angle, providing improved playability and stroke variations.
- The Cobra Coil assists in the footboard's return to its original position and can be adjusted forward or backward on the base plate.
- The Super Spring requires less exertion at the beginning of pedal action, providing a quicker response and a smoother feel, adjustable with the Cobra Coil.
- The Cobra Beater, made of Butadiene Rubber, offers resistance to wear, lighter weight, consistent and articulate sound with a strong attack, and produces a fat yet focused sound, even at lower volumes.
- The round, Rolling Glide "LiteSprocket" contributes to a lighter, more responsive feel by weighing 40% less than the previous Iron Cobra cam.
- The Recessed Setting position balances natural action and lighter motion, reducing stress on the FASTBALL bearing and requiring about 20% less exertion for the same power and feel found in existing models.
- The specially designed pedal board accelerates the power and speed of the beater stroke with less physical effort, featuring a smoother playing surface for more precise control and flexibility compared to the Iron Cobra.
