Synthesis power with characteristic wavetable timbres, Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0.
Introducing modwave mkII – now with nearly double the polyphony, expanded free-running LFOs, and more!

In 1985, KORG's DW-8000 combined digital wavetables with rich analog filters to give users sounds impossible to create with analog oscillators. Today it remains a cult favorite.

modwave builds on the DW legacy and transforms it into a modern monster synth, with incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, gorgeous filters, tremendously flexible modulation, unrivaled polyphony, full pattern sequencing, and instantly satisfying hands-on control to deliver sounds and phrases. unique, powerful and easily customizable.

modwave also introduces two unique new tools for creating dynamic motion: Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0. Kaoss Physics combines a Kaoss x/y pad with modular game physics to create an interactive, responsive controller that's powerful and a lot of fun to explore. Motion Sequencing 2.0 brings the organic, ever-evolving patterns of wavestate Wave Sequencing 2.0 to the world of motion sequencing, including multiple lanes and real-time recording to help you create complex, evolving phrases than other sequencers by steps cannot.

Like Wave Sequencing 2.0 (wavestate) and altered FM (opsix), modwave's evolved wavetable synthesis offers its own brand of completely unique sounds and a button-by-function layout that makes customizing those sounds easy. quick and easy. There are hundreds of preset sounds powered by this new architecture, organized by category buttons on the front panel, and all instantly customizable using the four Mod knobs. Modwave's signature wavetable tones begin with aggressive, lush bass and leads. Ambient pads that will add a new dimension to your tracks. But that's just the beginning.

Those who want to delve deeper will find an inexhaustible source of discoveries; With modwave's unique synth architecture, you'll be finding new things for a long, long time. Save as many sounds as you want; There is room for thousands more. You can also load your own samples, import wavetables in standard formats, and create your own wavetables using the free WaveEdit software.

The new modwave mkII offers a staggering 60 voices of polyphony, almost double the original modwave's 32, and an unprecedented number for a wavetable synthesizer at any price. Responding to user requests, we have updated all LFOs with free run, delayed start and re-trigger options. We've also added a pre/post switch for reverb sends, new modulation sources, and more.
