To honor the longtime Martin clinician and ambassador, guitarist, songwriter, and local music legend, Martin is proud to release the limited-edition 000-11E Craig Thatcher acoustic-electric guitar. This artist model features a body made of solid satin sapele back and sides and a solid figured sapele gloss top in a deep natural cherry hue, accented by fine herringbone trim and antique white binding. With only 35 examples available, this 000-11E is as unique as it is versatile, with satin tuners, snowflake inlays, and a natural, undyed ebony fingerboard and bridge. “Craig and I have traveled the world together, telling the Martin story. I talk and he plays,” says Chris Martin IV. “Craig worked closely with our team in Nazareth and Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico, to make this guitar happen. I think it’s pretty cool.” Craig's passion for this instrument is palpable – he designed it from the ground up, inspired by his love for light, punchy tonewoods like premium figured sapele and the classic appeal of herringbone trim.
